What to Expect

Experience the Daintree Rainforest and Coral Sea in one afternoon, combining a guided Indigenous cultural experience at Mossman Gorge with a sunset sailing cruise from Port Douglas.

Your afternoon begins with a courtesy coach transfer from Port Douglas to Mossman Gorge, located within the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest. Here, an experienced Indigenous guide leads a Dreamtime Walk introducing you to the culture, traditions and connection to Country of the Kuku Yalanji people.

The guided experience begins with a traditional smoking ceremony before continuing through the rainforest. Along the way, hear stories of Kuku Yalanji culture, learn about traditional customs, bush foods and medicinal plants, visit a sacred ceremony site and see demonstrations of soap and ochre paint making. The experience concludes with traditional damper and bush tea.

Following the Dreamtime Walk, your courtesy coach transfers you to the Port Douglas Marina for the second part of the afternoon – a sunset sail on the Coral Sea.

Board a premium Sailaway catamaran and enjoy a welcome drink and a selection of hot and cold canapés before departing Port Douglas. As the yacht sails along the tropical coastline, settle in with music, refreshments and views across the Coral Sea as the sun sets.

The sunset cruise includes approximately 90 minutes on the water, with the opportunity to experience genuine sailing conditions when weather permits. Additional beverages can be purchased from the fully licensed onboard bar.

The tour returns to Port Douglas at approximately 6.30pm.

6.30pm – Return to Port Douglas
Arrive back at Port Douglas Marina.

During the Port Douglas sunset sail, a selection of canapés and antipasto is served onboard. The menu may include:
