Your group can choose a half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) experience aboard a modern, spacious catamaran, with a personalised itinerary shaped around your interests, swimming preferences, pace and sightseeing goals.

Your skipper will navigate to some of the Fraser Coast’s standout locations, including Pelican Bank, Big Woody Island, Round Island and remote sandbars known for clear water and quiet anchorages. Between July and October, full-day charters can be upgraded to include a private whale watching itinerary, taking advantage of Hervey Bay’s reputation as the world’s first World Whale Heritage Site and one of the region’s best locations for close, respectful whale encounters.

Catering is provided on board, and the vessel is exclusively yours for the duration of the charter. This experience suits families, couples, small groups, celebrations, business outings and anyone looking for a premium, flexible way to explore the natural beauty between Hervey Bay and K’gari.

Swin with Whales (Full Day Whale Watching Charter Only July - October)

During the peak whale season, guests may be able to enter the water using a surface-floating mermaid line, providing a controlled and respectful way to observe humpback whales from the water’s surface. This in-water experience only proceeds when sea conditions and whale behaviour meet strict safety guidelines.

Beach Access

At approved island and sandbar locations, guests may enjoy time ashore and are welcome to swim from the beach. No structured beach activities are included. Wetsuits and snorkelling equipment are not supplied. Guests should bring their own suitable in-water gear and swimwear if they wish to participate in swimming or water-based activities.

Vessel Details

K’gari Breeze is a 12-metre Seawind 1200 sailing catamaran purpose-built for small-group charters on the Fraser Coast. The vessel includes four private cabins, each with a double bed, offering comfortable accommodation for couples, families or groups seeking space and privacy onboard.

The catamaran features two bathrooms with showers and toilets, a bright saloon with kitchen facilities, and ample refrigeration with both a fridge and freezer. Indoor and outdoor areas connect seamlessly, while the wide front deck provides an excellent vantage point to take in the views across the Great Sandy Strait and K’gari.

A motorised tender is included for shore access, allowing guests to reach remote beaches, sandbars and secluded anchorages only accessible by boat—ideal for exploring the less-visited western side of K’gari.
