Built in 1999 by renowned yachtsman Michael Tromp and sailed in four Sydney to Hobart races, Epsilon has spent the past 15 years exploring the Gold Coast Broadwater, offering relaxed and refined sailing experiences for both locals and visitors.

Your private sailing charter departs from Main Beach and is designed to be effortless from start to finish. With a maximum of 10 guests onboard, the experience feels personal, uncrowded and unhurried. From the moment you arrive, the experienced crew handles all aspects of the sail, allowing you to fully unwind on the water.

During your two-hour private sailing charter, enjoy a gourmet grazing board featuring cheese, crackers and fresh fruit, along with two complimentary drinks per person, including sparkling wine or beer. Guests are welcome to bring additional beverages if desired. For those wanting to elevate the experience further, catering and optional drinks packages can be arranged in advance. Please note, alcohol is not sold onboard.

Our 2 hour charters are perfect for groups wanting to experience the calm water of Broadwater however for those who would like to explore a little further and enjoy a swim we have a 4 hour charter. Private Sailing Charter Frequently Asked Questions

Where do private sailing charters depart from on the Gold Coast?

All private sailing charters depart from the Seaway Pontoon on Muriel Henchman Drive in Main Beach. The pontoon is accessible by car, Uber, taxi, electric bike and public transport. If arriving by bus, Sea World is the closest stop, followed by a 10–15 minute walk.
If driving, please park in a standard car-only space. Parking in trailer bays may result in fines from the local council.

Is the private sailing yacht suitable for guests with limited mobility?

Epsilon is a 38ft sailing yacht and guests are required to step up onto the deck when boarding. Our crew can assist, however a basic level of mobility is required.
The yacht is not wheelchair accessible and does not carry ramps or wheelchair storage.
A toilet is located below deck and accessed via three steep stairs. If mobility or accessibility is a concern, we recommend contacting us prior to booking to ensure the charter is suitable for your group.

Do we need sailing experience for a private charter?

No sailing or boating experience is required. Your skipper and crew manage all sailing operations. Guests may relax throughout the charter or become involved in sailing if they wish.

Is a safety briefing provided on private charters?

Yes. Every private sailing charter begins with a full safety briefing covering life jackets, safe movement onboard and emergency procedures.
Life jackets are available onboard. As charters operate in sheltered Broadwater conditions, wearing a life jacket is not mandatory unless required. Child-sized life jackets are available in limited numbers and should be requested in advance.

Are private sailing charters suitable for children and families?

Private charters are ideal for families travelling with children, including babies and toddlers. Folding prams can be stored inside the yacht.
Children who cannot swim are required to wear a life jacket, which will be provided. If you are unsure which charter option best suits your family, our team is happy to offer guidance.

What is included in a private sailing charter?

Private sailing charters include:
• Two complimentary drinks per person (sparkling wine, beer, sparkling water or soft drink)
• A gourmet grazing platter with cheese, crackers, fruit and a sweet item

Guests may bring additional drinks. More extensive catering and optional drink packages can be arranged in advance for private charters. Please note that alcohol is not sold onboard and excessive consumption is not permitted.

Can we customise our private sailing charter?

Yes. Private charters allow greater flexibility with catering, timing and onboard experience. While swimming and snorkelling are not included on standard two-hour charters, swimming can be arranged on selected “Fun Day on the Water” private charters for confident swimmers.

What happens if the weather is unsuitable?

Private sailing charters operate unless a severe weather warning is issued. If cancellation is required for safety reasons, a rebooking voucher will be provided so you can choose an alternative date.
