Great Barrier Reef Private Charter Boat - Sailing to Low Isles

We set ourselves apart from other tour operators in that we own one of four tour licenses which enable us to moor our high quality private charter boat, the Lagoon 500 catamaran, at Low Isles Port Douglas.

With small intimate passenger numbers of only 12 guests this means that a days sailing to the Low Isles will be one of intimacy and exclusivity.

Unlike other full day reef trip cruises, we offer a personalised reef experience that, once experienced, will never be forgotten.

An Example of your Port Douglas Private Boat Charter Schedule

A private charter yacht tour to the Great Barrier Reef can begin with an 8.30 a.m. departure from the Port Douglas Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina.

Should you require coach transfers can be booked from your Port Douglas holiday accommodation, along with coach transfers from Cairns and the northern Beaches for a fee.

The boat ride from Port Douglas to Low Isles takes approximately an hour and a half, with a 10 a.m. arrival at the sheltered, idyllic lagoon where guests will receive a snorkel briefing on the private charter yachts front deck.

Before Low Isles is reached, passengers enjoy morning tea which consists of tea or coffee and scrumptious homemade cakes.

Low Isles is an exquisite Great Barrier Reef location, and the reef tour offers visitors the opportunity to experience this little slice of paradise themselves.

The reef surrounding Low Isles comprises itself of 150 species of hard corals and is dominated by 15 species of soft corals.

This visual snorkeller’s feast plays home to an astonishing array of reef fish including Angelfish, Damselfish, Anemones, Giant Trevally, Sweetlip, Fusiliers and lots of giant Green Sea Turtles.

Manta-rays are sighted daily, as are harmless black tip reef sharks.

If you’re private charter guests are lucky enough they may even get to see the gentle giant elephant of the sea - the Dugong grazing on these lush sea grass beds.
