Example Itinerary
Day 1 Depart Darwin Harbour
Guests board our luxury small boutique cruise ship in Darwin at 7:00am for our 8:00am departure.
The Captain will host welcome drinks for all guests to get to know each other and the crew and enjoy the first on many meals and adventures together over the next 12 days
Day 2 Tiwi Islands
Disembark for a shore excursion and visit Bathurst Island.
With traditional Tiwi people as our guides, we learn of the unique cultures and visit the fascinating art centre to peruse wonderful screen printing, indigenous art works, wood work and pottery.
Be part of a cleansing of the spirits smoking ceremony, traditional basket weaving and morning tea with the locals, over freshly cooked damper and traditional billy tea.
Day 3 Cobourg Peninsula
On Coburg Peninsular, visit the ruins of the failed Victoria Settlement at Port Essington and explore the ruins under the guidance of the National Park Rangers.
We also visit the Rangers Interpretation Centre at Black Point.
Day 4 Maningrida
Maningrida is home to a remarkable art centre.
This is a unique opportunity to purchase sought-after Indigenous artworks and textiles directly from the artists.
Day 5 Elcho Island & Wessel Island Hole in the Wall
Be welcomed to country by the Yolgnu people at Galiwin’ku and Gawa communities.
Gain insight into the Yolgnu culture, and meet local artists who have exhibited around the world.
Cruise through the ‘Hole in the Wall’ between Raragala and Guluwuru Islands.
Day 6 Yirrkala Art Centre / Nhulunbhuy
Visit the spectacular Buku-Larrnggay Mulka Centre. This worldclass art centre has forged a path for Yolgnu artists.
View the museum’s historic collection, and browse through the remarkable art gallery of contemporary works (Indigenous Art itinerary only).
Day 7 Badu & Torres Strait Islands
Thursday Island, or Waiben, is the hub of the Torres Strait and here we learn of the region’s pearling history.
Have the privilege of visiting the remote islands of Badu or Moa, to experience cultural performances, a local meal and the remarkable art centres (Indigenous Art Itinerary only).
Day 8 Northernmost Point Of Cape York
Cruise to the Tip of Cape York and enjoy champagne while the sun sets. Have your photo taken beside the sign You are standing at the northern most point of the Australian continent.
Day 9 Forbes Island
Enjoy a day exploring Forbes Island, an excellent spot for swimming or snorkelling from the pristine sandy beaches. Take a walk to the grave of beche-de-mer fisherman Frederick Lancaster.
Day 10 Davie Reef And Flinders Group
Visit Stanley Island in the Flinders Group, and view the isolated Endaen Aboriginal rock art depicting the first sailing ships to visit Queensland shores. At Davie Reef, enjoy swimming and snorkelling and observe the large seabird rookery.
Day 11 Lizard Island
Spend the day at one of the most beautiful islands and world famous islands on the Great Barrier Reef. Climb to Cook’s Look or enjoy swimming and snorkelling the Blue Lagoon or take a beach walk to the historical places of interest.
Subject to availability, we may be invited as special guests to visit the Lizard Island Research Station, where we learn more about the research being undertaken to help understand and preserve Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
Day 12 Arrive In Cairns
Disembarkation day has come around way to soon in Cairns which is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. We arrive here at 8.00am and our guests make their way from the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal to their respective hotel room accommodation and farewell their newly made friends.

To make a reservation you have to pay a deposit of 20% of the fare.
The balance of the fare is due ninety (90) days prior to departure.
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars.
Notification of cancellation must be received in writing.

Deposit Protection Plan
Deposit Protection is a scheme offered to guests our guests to allow them to book confidently and transfer their deposit payment towards any future expeditions in the event they are undable to travel on the cruise they originally booked. Deposit protection is entirely optional, can be invoked for any reason by the guest, and requires an A$110 per person fee at the time of booking.
Please note this is Not in place of travel insurance.
If you wish to activate your Deposit Protection Plan and amend an existing booking, you will need to confirm in writing to our reservations team indicating that you wish to activate your plan and then we will provide an alternative cruise at a later date.
Transfer Fees
We strongly recommend that all passengers purchase cruise cancellation and interruption insurance as protection against any circumstance which may force you to cancel or leave an expedition whilst it is in progress.
