From Airlie Beach board our classic Tall Ship yacht and sail into the azure blue waters of the beautiful Whitsunday Islands with only 24 guests onboard our 64 foot schooner.
Leaving Airlie Beach at 7.30am we begin a magnificent day of sailing towards Whitehaven Beach where guests can climb to Hill Inlet lookout and enjoy the famous views across the sandy inlet and the waters of the Great Barrier Reef.
During our sailing tour guests are asked if they would like the experience of hoisting the sails or just sitting back and relaxing on deck taking in one of the best scenery’s in the world right here in Australia on the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef.
Sail out across Whitsunday Passage through Hook Passage to Whitsunday Island.
Witness the ever changing blue hues of the calming waters of the Whitsunday Islands wash past the bow of the boat with a rush of whitewater.
Keep an eye out for dolphins as they love to ride the bow waves and spend time looking at the guests onboard the Tall Ship.
During the months of July and August there is a high chance that you very well may see breaching Humpback Whales travelling through these waters.
Disembark the yacht at Tongue Bay to explore Whitehaven Beach and climb the walking trail to Hill Inlet lookout. Spend some selfie time enjoying Whitehaven Beach before reboarding the schooner and setting sail for a fringing reef to enjoy some snorkelling, exploring all the coral bommies and looking for colourful fish and other marine life.
We spend the afternoon doing some more exploring and snorkelling before setting the sails for Airlie Beach. The crew will provide a nice refreshing fruit platter to enjoy along the way as guests chill out on the decks and reminisce about the day you just experienced on the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsunday Islands.
