Our half day white water rafting tour experience on the Barron River in Cairns is where you will encounter rapids graded 2 to 3.
Our white water rafting business in Cairns has been in operation on the Barron River for over 12 years and our rafting professionals are trained to the highest standards possible and your safety is always forefront.
Our white water rafts are made with the finest materials and engineered with state of the art equipment.
No experience is necessary but minimum age of 12 apply.
To prepare for your rafting experience make sure you bring your swim wear (or clothing that is allowed to get wet,) a large towel, a change of clothes, money for souvenirs, snacks and waterproof shoes hire (if required).
Please leave jewellery at home and notify staff of any medical conditions.
The beautiful Barron Gorge National Park is only 20 minutes from the centre of Cairns (40 minutes ex-Port Douglas).
It’s known for its rugged rainforest mountains, steep ravines, the mighty Barron Falls and of course, Barron Gorge, which has been carved out over thousands of years by the Barron River.
This is where we do our half day white water rafting tour, on the ebb and flow of the Barron River, as it snakes its way down from the mountains and heads out to the Coral Sea.
This is a scenic rafting / rainforest adventure which combines calm water floating with a series of white water rapids for adventure and action.

Departure Instructions
- Please wait in an area out front of your accommodation where you are visible to the bus driver as they pull up.
- Pick up times are approximate times and the bus may be 5-10min late/early.
- The bus will wait 10 min after the pick-up time, if there is no contact from guests in this time the bus will depart without them.

- All passengers under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- All participants are required to complete a Liability Release Form prior to rafting
- Barron Rafting: Minimum Age 12 years old
- Family Rafting: Minimum Age 6 years old, Child Rate 6-11 years Old
- Tubing: Minimum Age 5 years old, Child Rate 5-11 years old
- Rafting & Tubing are not suitable for anyone who is pregnant
- Whilst we do our best to keep all rafters from the same booking in the same raft, please note this is not guaranteed due to operational requirements on the day of travel
