What to Expect

Snorkelling among Marine Life

• Your friendly and expert guides will share all you need to know about snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, along with a few tips to enrich that adventure. You’ll be fitted with a mask, snorkel, and fins.  You’ll see the kind of astonishing formations and textures the Great Barrier Reef is famous for - stag forests, coral bommies and anemones. You may be lcuky enough to spot  a sea-turtle sighting, sting-rays, or even a reef shark. However you will undoubtedly sight giant clams, starfish, and a huge variety of reef fish.

• Weather Policy: Reef Adventures has the capability to operate in most weather conditions. If management of Reef Adventures deem that a tour is not able to run due to operational, weather or mechanical issues, then in the first instance, travellers will be automatically scheduled into the next day of operation. Should that not able to be fulfilled then a full refund will be offered.
• Fit to Travel: A moderate level of fitness and mobility is required to enjoy the Reef Adventures product, particularly surrounding the entry and exit into the vessel at the Great Barrier Reef. Travellers who have had recent surgical procedures have back issues/problems or that have respiratory or heart conditions should reconsider their participation in the Reef Adventures product.
