Enquiry and confirmation of availability is recommended at time of booking,Skyrail’s gondolas cater to most standard wheelchairs but size and loading requirements mean some types can’t be carried on it.
The wheelchair width cannot exceed 630mm, the length can’t exceed 950mm.
Wheelchairs must be able to be tilted backwards to enable loading into the gondola,The combined weight of the wheelchair and its occupant must be manageable to enable cableway operators to load the wheelchair,To ensure efficient lifting into gondolas, wheelchairs must have handles,To assist with loading/unloading from gondolas, the optional use of a ramp is available.

All boardwalks at Red Peak and Barron Falls stations have ramp access,The CSIRO Interpretation Centre at Barron Falls Station is accessible,In Kuranda, a wheelchair is available for hire for a small fee (more info at kuranda.org),A courtesy shuttle bus is provided from the Skyrail/Railway stations at Kuranda to convey visitors to the Kuranda markets, which runs every 15 minutes until 2.50pm.
