Join Far North Queensland’s oldest coach operator on this full day outing on a Daintree Rainforest tour to explore the oldest living rainforest in the world today, the Daintree Rainforest.
Travelling with a small group with departures and pick ups from Cairns, Palm Cove and Port Douglas, you will spend your day discovering a World Heritage Listed rainforest that is full of rare and endangered exotic animals and plants and full of Aboriginal stories and culture.
Visit the stunning Cape Tribulation beaches, take a guided rainforest walk, experience a Daintree River Cruise with the chance to spot crocodiles and enjoy a guided tour of the Wildlife Habitat, Port Douglas.
Begin your Cape Tribulation day tour with a 7.15am pickup from your Cairns (and around 7:45am from Palm Cove) accommodation. You will travel in air-conditioned comfort as you enjoy the stunning scenic views of the famous Great Barrier Reef Drive on your way north to the Daintree Rainforest.
Once we collect our guests in Port Douglas at around 8.15am, your first stop of the day is at Wildlife Habitat around 8.30am, one of Australia’s leading wildlife experiences.
You will be taken on a tour by a knowledgeable guide through one of three ecosystems; the wetlands, the rainforest or the grasslands.
Wandering the elevated boardwalks, you will have the opportunity to observe the Australian native birdlife as they fly freely through the area.
You will also get to witness some of Australia’s rarest inhabitants such as the Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo and Southern Cassowary, and enjoy the opportunity to feed kangaroos. For an extra cost, you can even choose to have your photo taken with a baby crocodile, python or koala.
Morning tea will be served before continuing on to your next destination.
11.00am Cross the Daintree River on cable-drive ferry.
After departing from Port Douglas, your tour will stop at the Alexandra Lookout, for magnificent views over the Daintree River and Coral Sea, an area that was the first in the world to have two World Heritage sites meet, the Daintree Rainforest and the magnificent Great Barrier Reef of Australia.
Stop for a delicious tropical lunch in a picturesque rainforest setting or take a walk on Cape Tribulation Beach.
Arriving at Cape Tribulation, you are free to take a stroll along the famous beach, or wander the boardwalks to get spectacular views of this World Heritage site. Join a guided rainforest tour to get an in-depth understanding of the Daintree Rainforests eco-system, whilst experiencing fantastic photo opportunities
A cable-driven ferry delivers you across the untamed Daintree River, where you will embark on a Daintree River Wildlife Cruise. Keep your camera ready, as this river teems with wildlife.
Your experienced Daintree Rainforest river guide will help you to spot elusive crocodiles as they watch you from the river banks.
Keep an eye on the trees for the well-hidden tree snakes. Waterbirds love to hide in the mangroves and fresh water turtles are often spotted in the river.
Returning back to Port Douglas for at 6.00pm, Palm Cove 6:30pm and Cairns 7.00pm approx.

A little disappointed by the tour. The guide was really good, however felt too much time was spent on the bus and the lunch break. Lunch disappointing and Daintree cruise appeared rushed. Got back over an hour later than predicted.

This tour is excellent. From the moment of pick up (Amitty is absolutely fantastic!) to the places we visited and the memories we created. The whole process was easy. Amitty picked us up on time. Lunch was sorted on the bus and forwarded to The Beach House and was ready, cooked fresh, upon our arrival. Time spent at each location would have been better if there was in fact more hours in the day, but noone can control that! We even got to stop to get ice cream which was an unexpected bonus. The day was perfect. Thank you for such a great tour!

Hi Vasi, It is always great to hear our tours exceed expectation and rewarding to hear our staff are doing a great job. The Daintree & Cape Tribulation are a very important part of the region so we do try to show you as much as possible within daylight house and yes, the ice cream is always a nice surprise!
This tour welcomes children as young as 4 however please note this is a very long day for small children so we would recommend this tour for older children.
