You’ll share your experience with only 24 fellow snorkellers on reefs that no other tour boats visit. The journey to these pristine reefs takes only 25 thrilling minutes in a rigid inflatable jet boat that is driven by 700hp engines and departs from the shores of Cape Tribulation in the Daintree Rainforest.

Visit Undine and Mackay Reefs for two hours of snorkelling beautiful untouched corals beds, teeming with a huge variety of marine life. A regular hotspot for turtles, also keep your eyes peeled for rays, little reef sharks, giant clams and the odd octopus passing by not to mention the many species of colourful resident fish.

Check In

Check in for your half day tour is at the Turtle Rock Café across from PK’s Backpackers on Cape Tribulation Road, in the Daintree Rainforest, perfect spot to get a coffee and snacks before your reef trip. Wet suits and/or lycra suits are issued on check in allowing them to be worn on the journey out to the reef.

Boarding is directly from the beaches; that exact point where two World Heritage Sites, the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest National Park meet. The crew will guide you down to the departure site on Myall beach which is a 5 minute walk or transfer you by courtesy coach to Cape Tribulation Bay depending on weather conditions.  

Once aboard the jet boat crew will assist you with storing your belongings in the dry boxes on board (enough room for a small day pack) before you are whisked away on an undeniably fun ride with twists and turns to the first reef site.

Great Barrier Reef Half Day Snorkelling Tour

You do not need to have snorkelled previous to your trip out on the Great Barrier Reef as the experienced crew will provide you with free snorkel tuition and a guided snorkel tour if you require, floatation noodles and life rings are used for non-confident swimmers. Depending on the weather conditions on the day, you may anchor in a shallow blue lagoon surrounded by spectacular reef or drift along with the boat in waters a little deeper on the reefs edge.

Crew will distribute snorkelling equipment on arrival to the first site and assist you with fitting your mask, snorkel and fins correctly. Take your time to slowly explore Undine and Mackay Reefs reefs and enjoy up close and personal experiences with an abundance of marine life, you’ll have approx. 1 hour snorkel time at each site. The crew are very passionate about this unique eco system and will share their knowledge with you throughout the day.

All snorkelling equipment is supplied and you can hire wetsuits and prescription masks, lycra suits are included in the price.
