Cairns dive tours, choose from 2 days to 6 days liveaboard dive tours on the Great Barrier Reef. Have you come all the way to Cairns to do some Great Barrier Reef diving? Are you after more than just a day tour? Do you want to learn to scuba dive or advance your scuba diving skills?
Do you want to find a liveaboard dive boat that offers comfort and affordability AND a dive boat that takes you to some of the best spots to explore on the Great Barrier Reef north of Cairns, far far away from the day boats and crowds? Then take a look at our Cairns liveaboard dive boat.
From Cairns our daily dive boat transfer departures allow us to take new divers to the liveaboard dive boat that is based out on the reef permanently.
Whilst on our liveaboard dive trips you can upgrade your diving skills with one of our PADI dive courses.
Our dive boats cabins are air conditioned, with en-suites and a television for when you just need to get away for some rest and privacy.
Join us on our Cairns liveaboard scuba diving tour and see why the movie finding Nemo and finding Dory created such excitement about the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Joining our Cairns liveaboard dive boat is a perfect option for those who find that a one day reef trip is just not enough to really see the best and experience the full beauty of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Your day starts around 7.30am with the pick-up from your holiday accommodation to take you to the fast and comfortable transfer vessel based at the Cairns Marlin Marina
The transfer boat departs at 8.30 am from Cairns Marlin Marina B-finger and it takes about 90 minutes until you reach to your first dive site for the day.
Your first 2 dives are done off the transfer vessel and the 3rd dive of the day and night dive will be on your liveaboard dive boat once you are settled into your cabins.
Sleeping on the Great Barrier Reef gives you an opportunity to do some awesome night dives and spot some of the most feared and admired predators-sharks.
We have an exclusive dive with sharks in the dark experience for scuba divers that are game to get in the water with these reef sharks.
Are you ready to go and dive with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef?
And have you seen our swim with Dwarf Minke Whale tours?
Our boat has an exclusive licence to swim with Dwarf Minke Whales when they are sighted on the Great Barrier Reef. This means that the boat will stop and a long line is put in the water and 10 people at a time are allowed to enter the water and wait for the Dwarf Minke Whales to approach and swim around them.
Swimming with whales is one of the most pure animal interactions you will ever experience, as these little 8 meter whales are so inquisitive and friendly and happy to interact and come close to have a good look at you.
Please note: As whales are wild animals this interaction is just a bonus to the Great Barrier Reef tour if whales are sighted.
You can choose between double, twin or quad share rooms depending if you are travelling alone, as a couple or in a group.
Most rooms have amazing ocean views.
The on-board chef is preparing 3 delicious meals a day so you will not go hungry and can focus on your in-water activities.
Tea, coffee and water is available at all times thru the day.
Spending a couple of nights on the liveaboard dive boat creates a perfect opportunity to meet some new like-minded people and relax by playing an old fashioned deck of cards or good old board games.
Our library also has a variety of movies for every taste to choose from if you just feel like lying around and zoning out.
If you are interested in learning how to dive or would like to further your diving skills PADI learn-to-dive and advanced diver courses are offered on board.
PADI learn to dive courses vary from a four day open water course that includes two days theory in a pool in Cairns followed by two day-trips to the Outer Barrier Reef to apply your skills.
You may also do a four day liveaboard open water course that includes the two days theory in Cairns followed by a two day/one night liveaboard.
There is also a five day PADI course that includes two days of theory in Cairns and then a three day/two night liveaboard trip or finally a six day course that includes the two days of theory and a four day/three night trip to the Great Barrier Reef.
The Learn to Dive option includes 2 days of training in a state of the art, air-conditioned facility with a purpose built heated pool for dive training.
Certification and manuals, transfers to and from your Cairns City accommodation are included.
All training dives and use of equipment, wetsuits and torches are included as well as all meals while out at sea.
If you are already PADI certified you may want to try for your advanced dive certificate, your rescue diver certification or your Dive Master.
Lucky for you, these advanced classes don’t contain any classroom sessions; it is all just practical fun.
Your advanced course can be done via a liveaboard boat over one or two nights (11 dives during 2 night trip, 7 dives during 1 night.)
If you would like to get your rescue diver certificate you can choose from either a four or five day liveaboard course. PADI professional courses such as the Dive Master and Instructor Development course are also available.
Again, all equipment, meal while at sea, certification and manuals and Cairns City transfers are included.
All courses depart from Cairns daily and are taught by friendly knowledgeable instructors and are offered in English, Korean and Japanese.
