What to Expect

The day begins with a relaxed rainforest tubing experience on one of the clear freshwater rivers near Cairns. After transfers from your accommodation, guides provide a safety briefing and equipment before you step into your personal inflatable tube and drift gently along the river.

Floating through sections of calm water and mild rapids, guests follow their guide downstream at an easy pace while surrounded by dense tropical rainforest. The tubing route winds through shaded rainforest corridors where the sounds of birds and flowing water replace the bustle of the city. Later in the day, the action increases with a guided white water rafting experience on the Barron River within Barron Gorge National Park. After another safety briefing and equipment fitting, guests join a professional rafting guide and paddle into the river.

Over approximately two hours on the water, the raft navigates a series of exciting rapids set against the dramatic rainforest cliffs of the Barron Gorge. The river delivers a mix of fast-flowing sections and calmer stretches, creating an exhilarating yet accessible rafting experience suitable for beginners. Throughout the journey, your guide manages the raft and provides instructions to ensure a safe and memorable adventure.
