Sit back relax in your comfortable coach and take in the spectacular scenic coastal drive with island and mountain scenery and lush sugarcane farmlands along the way. Firstly your rainforest guide takes you for a short informative tour around the relaxed seaside village of Port Douglas. A place where Presidents and movie stars like to frequent for their holidays.
Mossman Gorge
Your Cairns day tours first stop is at the beautiful Mossman Gorge. A place that holds a lot of secrets and history of the Aboriginal people the Kuku Yulanji.
Your rainforest guide will take you on an informative tour along the rainforest tracks and boardwalks and along the way introduce you to the history of the Mossman Gorge region and the medicinal qualities of the Daintree rainforests that surround.
Mossman Gorge is a popular swimming place for both locals and tourists alike and subject to water levels you may have some time for a refreshing swim in the crystal clear rock pools or relax on the sandy beach sides in amongst the giant granite boulders. If you are a keen photographer take yourself on a quiet walk through the rainforest and you may come across some of the local native Australian animals that inhabit this region. Mossman Gorge is also home to rare and endangered animals of all kinds such as the Cassowary Rufous Owl and Musky Rat Kangaroo, and is also home to over hundreds of bird species some of which migrate yearly from New Guinea.

Daintree River Crocodile and Wildlife Habitat Cruise
Following morning refreshments of locally grown produce kick back and relax while you cruise deep into the Mangrove lined Daintree River, the habitat of the ferocious estuarine saltwater crocodile and learn about this incredible ecosystem from a knowledgeable guide. The guide will assist you in spotting unique river wild life and the infamous Estuarine Crocodile. A few of the older and highly territorial male crocodiles you can regularly see are Fat Albert, the largest at 5 meters; Lumpy and Scar face (for obvious reasons) are both 4 meters.
Daintree Cape Tribulation Rainforest
Discover the unique wilderness area of the World Heritage listed Rainforest as you head north through Cape Tribulation Daintree National Park, tour along over former bush tracks and over crystal clear creeks whilst viewing some of the oldest rainforest on earth. See primitive King Ferns and Licuala Ramsayi Fan Palms. Your rainforest guide will point out all the things of interest and tell you all about the history of the rainforests and their inhabitants.
Lunch Swim Relax
After all of these activities you will surely be ready to enjoy a hearty lunch in a cool rainforest setting and you will also have plenty of time here to take a swim in the rock pool or stroll along coconut beach.
Take a stroll along the stunning Cape Tribulation Beach to the Alexandra Range lookout and observe where two of the world's natural wonders converge — the rainforest gives way to white sand and fringing coral reef.
Daintree Discovery Centre – Ariel Walkway Canopy Tower
Then one last stop before you head home is the award winning Daintree Discovery Centre, this is a world class interpretive facility that allows visitors easy access to this distinctive rainforest wilderness via board walks, canopy towers and aerial walkways It also hosts a interactive display centre that has the latest touch screen technology and audio visual theater. All of this information provided in all languages via headsets.
Once again you have plenty of time to have afternoon tea and stroll around this naturalist's paradise. You depart the Daintree River Valley crossing by the Daintree river ferry and make your way home, your rainforest guide puts some tunes on so you can just chill and reminisce of your day spent in this precious wilderness.
