RnR White Water Rafting in Cairns is a full day tour or half day tour suited to any weather conditions and absolutely no experience is required, just a great sense of adventure. You can choose from the Barron River half day afternoon with rapids to grade 3, the Tully full day tour, or the Ultimate Johnstone Adventure for a 4 day expedition (advance bookings essential from April to July).
The full day Tully rafting adventure is renowned as Australia’s most famous one day white water rafting experience, which is guaranteed to give you a white knuckle adventure. The fun bus ride South to Tully is the first stop for some morning tea and to hire some wet weather shoes if required. Alternatively, you can self–drive and meet the crew in Tully. The ultimate thrill begins on the Tully River where you will be placed in rafting groups along with a guide. This tour allows 5 full raging hours of white water rafting through World Heritage Rainforest with more than 45 rapids as big as grade 4. Wait until you experience the ‘Wet & Moisty’ rapid. You will know you are alive when you experience this thrill!
You work up a big appetite for the delicious barbeque lunch opposite Ponytail Falls set up in the tropical Australian rainforest. After the action packed day, visit Rafters Café and re–live your day viewing the thrills and spills on DVD where you can also have some afternoon tea, have a laugh and giggle with your new found team mates or rescuers.
If you want to just ease yourself into a rafting adventure, try the half day Barron afternoon with rapids up to grade 3 which are good for all levels with reasonable waves and a bit of technical maneuvering to negotiate the rapids.
