Pro Dive PADI Advanced Course
If you’re looking for a diving adventure that gives you a large variety of diving then look no further. Experience the amazing underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef Australia on Pro Dive’s 3 day 2 night liveaboard dive trip. Pro Dive is Cairns’ premier dive school and outer reef liveaboard dive trip operator. Since 1983 they have developed an international reputation for quality, professionalism, safety and value. Pro Dive has taught over 80,000 people to dive. Join a dive trip during the whale migration season from May to September-October. See the mighty Humpbacks and the inquisitive Minke whales. They are very friendly and love to look at us as well.
Whilst onboard you may want to continue your diving education. The PADI Advanced Course, Adventures in Diving program, is the first step beyond the Open Water Certification. This course will develop your confidence and skills, make your diving more enjoyable and will expand your diving options for the future. The course is held onboard the 3 day 2 night liveaboard cruise and consists of 5 training dives and up to 6 pleasure dives including 2 night dives. There is no formal classroom sessions involved but you will need to read through the PADI Adventures in Diving manual and answer the relevant knowledge review questions. Your advanced training consists of 5 training dives including ‘Deep Dive’, ‘Underwater Naturalist’, ‘Night Dive’, ‘Underwater Navigation’ and a choice of two electives. These may include ‘Underwater Photography’ or ‘Search and Recovery’.
Pro Dive Cairns have access to 16 exclusive sites on 4 different reefs. These sites have been selected for their variety and quality of both coral and marine life as well as great visibility. Weather permitting, you will rarely dive the same site more than twice. Milne, Thetford, Flynn and Pellowe Reef.
Pro Dive’s fleet of multi million dollar modern dive vessels with expansive dive and sun decks, and air-conditioned interiors, ensure your comfort is catered for in style for the duration of the trip. With only 32 passengers onboard, all in twin or double accommodation, you are assured of a personalised and memorable adventure!

- 11 Dives — 9 day and 2 night dives

- Passport photos (required for certification)
- All dive and snorkelling equipment (includes dive computer and long-leg wetsuits)
- Prescription lens masks (if required)
- Double or twin-share accommodation
- Accommodation transfers (city and northern beaches)

- A guided orientation dive & night dives

Extras:
- An additional fee of AU$30.00 per person is payable direct to Pro Dive. This fee consists of a AU$15.00 Government Environmental Management Charge as well as a Port Departure Tax and administration costs.
- Optional digital camera & underwater housing hire AU$40 per dive — includes your images on CD.
Trips commence every day except Tuesday.
Note:
- Some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. You will be required to complete a statement regarding your current medical fitness to dive.
- Evidence of dive certification is required from all certified divers.
- The Tour Specialists recommends that you not fly within 24 hours of your last dive.
